About CA Support

Callie Coté (she/her)

FOUNDER/DIRECTOR & EATING DISORDER SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Callie saw an area within eating disorder treatment that she felt was missing and one that she is passionate about helping to fill within treating teams.

Therefore, CA Support was born. CA Support is built on the foundations of believing that all clients deserve individualised support and deserve to have a voice. Callie knows all too well what it is like to feel like you don’t have a voice - therefore the core belief that everybody’s voice should be heard is paramount in all the work she does.

Callie has a lived experience of an eating disorder of 16 years. She also has a lived experience with CPTSD, neurodivergency and domestic violence. Her lived experience forms the foundation of her practice.

CA Support provides individualised support to people from all walks of life including those without a diagnosis, those with an eating disorder diagnosis, those experiencing disordered eating, those in marginalised bodies and identities and beyond. She takes the intersectionality of the individuals she works with into account, to provide a holistic approach to treatment.

Callie is also passionate in being able to support those who care and love individuals living with an eating disorder- with a background in child safety as a case manager, she has extensive experience and walking alongside and providing individualised support to carers, families and friends as well.

Callie centres the following framework in all of her practice:

  • Feminist frameworks

  • Fat positive practice framework

  • Biopsychosocial

  • Harm reduction approach

  • Trauma informed.

Callie is also a member of the Fat Positive Collective, founded by Nic McDermid.

She is the co-host of the The Recovery Feed Podcast, where she discusses eating disorder recovery, mental health and provides insight for those living with eating disorders and those who are affected by them.
